Our Review
Plasma Novus Clean Air Solutions S.L. has not only its expertise in Non-Thermal Plasma (NTP) and Glow-Discharge-Cells design (GDCs), but also in laser-matter interaction. We have studied through our own mathematical (Numerical Solutions) model based on time-dependent simulations, how UV radiation interacts with organic matrix and metals. Our studies demonstrates that are still lot of work to do in the field of UV-MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation) theory. We have developed a model (3-Layer-2-Temperature) in which several effects are considered:
– Non-linear photoelectric effect
– Desorption/Ablation temperatures and phenomenon related
– Pooling mechanism
– Auto-ionaization processes
– Gas-phase electron capture
– Fragmentation of molecules: RKKM theory
– Density-function theroy (DFT)
